The folks at Natural Front Yards share your desire to live more ecologically. By replacing a lawn that is purely aesthetic (meaning, you don’t use it to play on, etc.) with habitat-friendly plants that are adapted to our climate, you do several positive things at once:
- Reduce emissions caused by lawn mowers and edgers
- Reduce the amount of water needed to keep the lawn green
- Create bird and butterfly-friendly spaces (increase diversity)
- Remove the need for petroleum-based fertilizers and herbicides
